Alden B. Dow Home & Studio Tour - Alden B. Dow was an American architect based in Midland, Michigan, and known for his contributions to the style of Michigan Modern. Imaginatively woven into the natural environment and surrounding pond, the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio elicits you to question, peek around corners and travel on unknown paths. It draws you into rooms of diverging angles, soaring roof lines, brilliant color, abundant natural light, and geometric patterns. The integration of building and site truly exemplify Mr. Dow’s definition of organic architecture as the idea that “gardens never end and buildings never begin.” Lucky’s Steakhouse (included lunch) - Having been in the restaurant business for generations, Lucky’s desire to provide heartfelt hospitality created an atmosphere where friends and family meet on a regular basis. Dow Gardens - Experience a dazzling 110-acre display of annuals and perennials punctuated by distinctive bridges, an award-winning children’s garden, towering pines, and delightful water features. Whiting Forest Canopy Walk - Immerse yourself in the forest on the nation's longest canopy walk, 1,400 feet long, soaring up to 40 feet above the ground. The Canopy Walk has three arms, each end at a unique viewing platform, including views of a forest pond from 25 feet up, a large cargo net in a grove of spruce trees at 25 feet high, and an orchard view which includes a viewing platform with a glass floor and railings at 40 feet high
