Day 1 Good Morning! Our journey to Michigan’s beautiful Mackinac Island begins. A rest and lunch stop on our own is made en route for our comfort and convenience. Upon arrival into Mackinaw City this afternoon, we will board the ferry to Mackinac Island and check into our overnight accommodations located right on downtown’s Main Street. Dinner is included this evening at Winchester’s restaurant. The remainder of the evening will be ours to bask in the loveliness that is Mackinac Island.
Day 2 A continental breakfast is included this morning, before departing on a fully narrated horse drawn carriage tour to experience the history and charm of Mackinac. What we will experience is by far the most enjoyable and authentic way to view the island. Look at all of the lilacs which should be in bloom. Our tour will end at the Grand Hotel where we enjoy the legendary luncheon buffet. The Grand Luncheon Buffet is a decadent buffet worthy of royalty and one of the highlights of the Grand Hotel experience. Admission to the Grand Hotel’s grounds is included with our lunch reservation. Spend some time taking photos or sit back and relax in a rocking chair and enjoy the views of the Straits of Mackinac on the World’s Longest Front Porch. Following our visit, the remainder of the day is ours to enjoy the island.
Day 3 An included hot breakfast greets us this leisurely morning before we take a ferry back to the mainland. We spend the afternoon at Mackinaw Crossings in downtown Mackinaw City for shopping time and lunch on our own before making our way toward home.
